AERO DUCTCLEANING

Duct Repair and Replacement

Sagging runs, crushed elbows, torn liners and disconnected boots. Repaired properly or replaced, whichever is honest.

Flexible duct does not last forever. The inner liner tears, the insulation compresses where someone stood on it, and boots work loose from ceiling registers over twenty years of expansion and contraction. When that happens you are conditioning your attic, and no amount of cleaning changes that.

We find these while cleaning, because you cannot run a whip down a duct without seeing its condition. When a run is worth saving we repair it. When it is not, we say so and quote the replacement. Those are two different conversations and we keep them separate from the cleaning you already agreed to pay for.

This is also where twelve years of doing broader home repair matters. Duct work touches framing, insulation, drywall and roofing. We are comfortable in all of it, and where a job needs a licensed trade we will refer you to one rather than attempt it.

Questions we get asked

How do I know if a duct needs replacing rather than cleaning?
Torn inner liner, crushed sections that will not recover their shape, insulation that has fallen away, or a run that has come off its boot. We photograph anything we find and show you the picture before recommending anything.
Can you replace just the bad runs?
Usually yes. Whole system replacement is rarely necessary and we will not quote it just because it is a larger ticket.
